I had originally thought Valentia Island, as they were a Cable Base. I have lists of Cable Layers of the era, but maybe it is an American vessel? It needs thought, it could be Falmouth, maybe?
The name with which I am nigh fixed at the moment is FIDGET as that name was used by owners for vessels, it is the only word I can think of that fits the image, that makes any sense; possibilities ... The image could be sent to an expert in Cable Company history and their ships ... I could give you his email address by PM; the image could be placed on Ships Nostalgia where there is a wealth of knowledge across the board (and that includes the Cable expert that I mention); you could either do that yourself after joining, or I could (with your direct permission) place it either in the threads or album (I have over 1400 pictures there) with full credit to yourself; I have some information here on the Ludlows of Penzance and Redruth area, if you are interested. Some may not be directly connected.
