Yes they ve still got loads of negatives in them which don t necessarily match the photos in the other side of the wallet - just got to work out how to get the scanner to do negatives....
You should talk with treeve as he researched a negative scanner, brought it and has had lots of joy with it. I seem to remember that it was a very reasonable price. It acts just like a flat bed scanner but utilises a blue light. Just remember to put the negative in the right way round... we ve had a few put up on this site that should have been obvious (as they were of main streets) but flipped horizontally they take on a completely different look.
The results that I have had from the Epson V200 are astounding, and the resolution will go up to 12,800 dpi. The negative/slide carrier is for 35mm, but I made my own carrier, I can push the size up. The price was £55 new. A doddle. And the software does not go into world domination mode, as others I have had did.
