Penzance Central

The Plan showing the Compulsory Purchase areas to form the Car Park. November 1948. Can anyone remember just who Carter and who Sheppard was? The purple area Pool was a warehouse for beer and spirits, I think. Just what the area marked King was I do not know. I am not familiar with O Hall either as an owner. What was the Public House on Parade Street? I think Bevills were shoe repairs. Any ideas, please?
The Old Smithy is along from the Acorn between there and the Globe I think they changed their name again

Thanks Norm and welb1931, I am not up on pub names. I need to look at old plans to see what is going on.

I was told by a former landlady of the Seven Stars that evidence of the former blacksmith s shop could be found at the rear of the pub, hence the name change to The Old Smithy (in the 80s, I believe)

perhaps they renamed the seven stars the old smithy......starting from the globe next door was Taylor hairdresser then a sewing supply shop and then an opway for entrance to the blacksmiths and the side door of the seven stars pub
