Princes Street - 08

The end houses of Princes Street.
Possibly much as original. The lower storey, however would have been heavy stucco, with horizontal 'coursing', similar to such other walls in Penzance.
As can be seen by the broken facade treatment, the bombed and demolished section was a part of the end house.
When built they were houses, William Mayne Kneebone and Nanny Williams.
In 1861 the addresses were given as Nr 3 - Henry Tonkin; Nr 4 Edmond Semmens.
By 1881 they were both lodging houses and renumbered Nr 4 and Nr 5 (as today).
