Water Feature in the making over former loo - Feb., 2007

This was taken 9th Feb., 2007, as the 'water feature' at the top of Market Jew Street was under preparation by the Humphry Davy statue. This was formerly a men's loo as may be seen here for the first time for many years!
The feature is still used as a loo (why else is it yellow) - that is more as comment on society than of the creators of this feature. Vandalism and abuse, disrespect and destruction, until that is addressed fully, there will be little that our town can do for itself or for those who live here.

So true! How about setting up a stocks here that position the heads of vandals under the shoots until they ve learned a lesson!

Ah but that is non-pc, it is aggressive, it is removing someone s civil liberties, and could be something Eurocrats award damages over. Mind you it should work. Stocks and Shears.
