Page 1- PENZANCE ROYAL REGATTA 1933 PROGRAMME

1-Cover of programme for Penzance Royal Regatta, Saturday, 15th July, 1933: These scanned pages of the official programme hold a wealth of historical information of sailing in Penzance and local businesses from the last century.
Particularly since it is correctly entitled Mount's Bay, unlike the school of that name.

Treeve: You mean the apostrophe is included, I suppose. Anyway, one thing I would like to say that I omitted to say among these scans is that I was able to borrow this programme by courtesy of Mr Brian Davey of Pendennis Road. Though he does not have a computer at his disposal, let any interested person approach him via me. He has a computer brain where he stores an absolutely remarkable storehouse of local history. He is an outstanding oral historian. Had I the ability to use shorthand, or possess a digital recorder I would gladly pick his brains. What he knows is too valuable to be lost but there is so much. Brian used to work for Meek's Furnishers among other of his employments and there is little that he does not know or remember about Penzance within the limits of his own lifetime.
