Taking a bus along the southern extremity of Harris, hurtling around the bend at speed, over a very bumby road, I was swept around and looking back, I had a matter of a minute to take in the scene; there was no opportunity to get the camera out, nor later for that matter, as Harris gave us what she is very capable of delivering. Extremely heavy rain, and it was necessary to get the only bus back. I had therefore to memorise the scene and paint it when we got back two weeks later. I have grave doubts about going back (cost etc) and there is always the possibility that I have remembered it wrongly, in which case I will only want to paint over it and do it again !!
