Christopher Ludlow 1877 - 1959 in his teens

Christopher Ludlow is on the left. William Bollom Ludlow Carbines is on the right. Elsie Poole must be the girl (as she's the only girl in the picture). The notes on this envelope say one of the boys is possibly Harold Poole (son of the Harold Poole the mayor in WWI I presume) and the other boy is ? Christopher is in his teens so this is a mid 1890s picture. On the Barn is a Great Western poster but I can see 189? as his head is in the way!

Well deduced treeve. To be honest it would be difficult to work out where this is because there is little background noise. It looks like Newlyn... but that s a wild guess.

Clever - very clever Watson - if its 1892 Christopher Ludlow is just 15 - if its 1898 he s 21 - my guess would be 1892. I ll see if I can dig out an accurate date of birth of William Bollum Ludlow Carbines as the one I have is 10 or 15 years out - I can then cross -correlate...

I come across this type of question often, when the day and number alone is known, sometimes not even the actual month. I don t always have that handy.
