ST. BURYAN
On the occasion of the recent wreck of the steamer South America in Boskenna Bay, Mr James Richards of Boskenna Farm St Buryan was one of the first one the scene. Largely owing to his unwearied and skilful efforts under adverse conditions, the shipwrecked crew were able to effect a safe landing. On Saturday Mar. 30, Mr. Richards was agreeably surprised to receive a very handsome barometer bearing on a brass plate the following inscription: (below)
