Armstrong Tomb, Madron

William Armstrong died 20 Feb 1832 at Penzance; was 19 years, son of John and Mary Armstrong of Priestlands, Lymington, Hants.
Upon the vault is set the Memorial to John Scobell Armstrong. A bronze sculpture by F. Rousseau Emandel, dated 1929.
It symbolises a youth immersed in music, playing in the clouds.
The Latin seems to mean that he was in best spirits when with friends, he loved many and many loved him.
