I remember when it was a busy garage with Jervis Barclay and Ernie Joseit had four petrol pumps outside at one time....what else is closing in PZ ?

It had four pumps (hand crank) in front, two each side of a large showroom door.during the war years it housed western nationalbus' overnight also when air raid alarms were sounded it had afire engine stationed there, below the garage was four cottages No's 2-3 -4 and 5 Brighton terrace - I lived in No 2 and No 4 in the 1930 's
 
In one swoop, we have the early history of the Western National and the Fire Brigade. Magnificent :)
 
There was no No 1 Brighton Terrace...you entered into Cottage Row at that point,Cottage Row ran between Brighton Terrace and Cornwall Terrace behind the Queens Hotel. The residents of Cottage Row were relocated to Treneere and Gwavas Estates and the homes were later made available to evacuees at the start of the blitz....
