St Clare's woodland area

This shows location of the new 'bench' and the mask sculpture in the woods behind Parc Wartha and near to the Leisure Centre at St Clare
I find this very puzzling. Have always percieved this whole area to be within the curtilage of the York House/PDC offices, and therefore by definition private property. Never would I have entered this area in years gone by, and neither have I used it as a short cut to the Leisure Centre from Penalverne. It perplexes me that people are now being encouraged to access these woods , what do the powers-that-be imagine will happen here after dark, when the yoof are rampaging around?

Funnily enough, haven t seen any evidence of rampaging here so far. And kids will find places to play, public or not. Would be interested to know who is behind the improvements here. I m all for a bit of improvement, would they care to improve the seafront between Newlyn and Penzance next please?!

The council put a gate in here connecting Penalverne to the woods about 10 years ago now. It was an access that I started to use for convenience when our dog liked long walks and a good run. (He s over 17 now and does not go too far) Children from the estate used ithe woods to build camps and the occasional rope swing. The ones to spoil it were the morons who used it to dump items from garden and DIY waste to old beds and sofa s. It is looking quite good from this picture. Let us just hope it is not spoiled. From the way PDC vandelised the area with there positioning of the leisure centre I don t think they care who or how this part is used. N.B. It is the position not the idea of the leisure centre I object to. ::15:
