Seagull and Chips

You just can't get the staff nowadays or maybe they're just too busy gawping at the flatscreen TV indoors
You are so right ... a bit of attention and awareness, instead of leaving an invitation to the birds to help themselves, instead of compaining about what nature does very well, look after itself. I have never had a problem with marauding gulls.

I can t say the same! I bought a great chicken baguette at a beach cafe in St Ives, stood under wooden struts designed to carry an awning and thought I d be safe. Seconds later before my first mouthful a voracious gull negotiated the struts and snatched it out of my mouth from behind despite my watchfulness. £3.50 down the drain! I told the bloke behind the counter that he ought to offer the food with a surcharge for optional insurance whereby one might claim a replacement! sad# :-x

Point taken, but I was meaning the fact that the table had not been cleared in the picture, encouraging these birds to believe that the nice people were feeding them. I have had sandwiches, pastys, buns, ice cream, et al (not all at once!), with no problems, perhaps it is my grumpy old man status that keeps them at bay !! I think you need the services of a Loss Adjuster. laugh#

The current management have a seagull control policy which seems to be working quite well. It involves a well located bin where leftovers can be deposited away from Gulliver s beady eye/
