Post_card_from_Sennen

Postmarked from Sennen on May 24 1905. Sent by a young lady teacher to a friend at St. Just. -- Dear ~~, We had a picture post card from A today. She is getting on quite well as she expected to. I ' m just recovering from the effects of my visit to Newlyn. I shall never forget it.
Hope to see you on Sat, love ~~ .
Deltiology is the study and collection of postcards according to Wikipedia! I have never heard that word before. There s an idea, word of the day with Bay of Plenty! laugh#

A wonderful idea, den, with one minor flaw - I know plenty of obscure words, but I d be thrown off the forum once their meaning became clear laugh#

I read the article “The Harbour Commissioner’s centenary year” on the “Newlyn info” website recently and wondered if the account of that time set the scene for whatever happened to the young teacher on her visit in 1905.

On Spotify I came across a CD by Jim Wearne called “Here and There”, on it is a track called “A curious Newlyn disturbance” – a beauty.
