Pictures taken March 1997 by Christopher George Ludlow (1918 - 1999) on a visit to Penzance

On back - In the Floating Dock Penzance
Fascinating set, Ludlow, thanks; curious vessels, one ex Navy, one fishing vessel perhaps. Two Sisters looking scruffy.
ps, Floating Dock as opposed to Dry Dock is an old name, but it is now a Wet Dock.

pps pretty well all were uploaded upside down; we can (and did) turn them, which is why the site watermark is left top corner.

Yes sorry about the upside down thing - in Picassa I'd turned them round but it obviously hasn't changed the original!
I've copied it as my Uncle put it on the back - he called it floating dock for whatever reason.

It was built as a Floating Dock and stayed so until someone actually built an actual floating dock, ie one that floated, then it became a wet dock as opposed to the tidal harbour. That was a bit of history rather than me being 'picky'. :)
I see, looks like picassa alters the presentation rather than the image.
