Think I was living there at the time, this would be the early 80's I remember the snow very well, the road was clear but I couldn't drive the van up to it. The lodge is now being rebuilt. No bypass, no roundabout, just fields, the riding stables kept their horses in them and occasionally they used to jump the hedge into the garden and we had to get them back to the stables.
