Lamorna on Good Friday

I ve enjoyed going though the most looked at photos. I remember the Layabouts, then werer around when I was singing with a St Just band. We were the Shad beats at the time. and did a gig at lamorna too. It was a great venue and a fine evening. I think I still have some of the posters for us as we did gigis for the local football club too. We had a business card with the phone number from the shop next door as our contact. not many families had phone in the early 60s. I still have one of the cards. I ll be able to show it to my grandchildren [ if I ever had any!] duh

I remember the Lamorna Good Friday Walks. Always good fun, plus drinks at the Wink. Do they still take place?

A couple of years ago we were stayingat the house of friends near Paul on Good Friday and surprised not to hear more passers-by. We were visiting family later and decided to drive to Lamorna Cove on the way. There were about four other cars there all with mature people, no idea if they others like us with memories of walks long past or were visitors.
On the way back up the valley stopped at the Wink to see if we might get some lunch, SHUT! Couldn't believe it. Didn't pass any walkers either.
