Entrance to Mother Shipton's

Unsure as to whether this still exists, but it did in 1981, Along the River Nidd, Knaresborough. Mother Shipton was a character from the 14th Century, a witch, the tales have been further embroiled in 19th Century 'folklore'.
looks like little trinkets/ and little people/bears hanging from little beads? my first thought was a waterfall....never seen anything quite like this before (better viewed large)

Yes this still exists and is open to the public, for a charge! There are various objects hanging which over time because of the minerals in the water, become calcified.

I thought this was entitled "Entrance to the Mother ship" from the thumbnail on the chat box page!"Technicians of Spaceship Earth, this is your Captain speaking. Your Captain is dead." I'm sure you'll recognise where that text came from, treeve!

Good to read that the attraction is still going, exile, off the top of my calcified head, Hawkwind comes to mind, tabtab13 :)
