I gather that you are quite taken with pirates - have you the book by David Cordingley and John Falconer ?
Glad you liked them, treeve. No, I haven't the book you mentioned, I think the interest stems from watching Hollywood films as a child and I still enjoy watching more recent films such as 'Pirates of the Caribbean', etc. And 'Master and Commander' (though not about pirates) was a cracking film. There's something about these ships and that period and to see her anchored in the bay, on a misty morning, was fantastic. And glad I got the opportunity to see her a bit closer in the Dry Dock too.
