Treneere Shops

Looking across the road from a property in Treweath Road you can see the Treneere shops. The shop on the far right was Barrie's shop. He had just taken over the shop from the Cottons. Next door to the left is still a fish and chip shop but then it was owned by Daz! You'll have to look closely in this picture at the road surface, but if you do you'll remember that the roads in Treneere were made up of concrete slabs. It wasn't until the late 80's that the roads were tarmacked.
