This is the one that started it all. The milk stand for Sunset Farm stood here at the Southern end of Falmouth Place Carnyorth throughout my childhood. I passed it every day on my way home from the school bus. After years of 'meaning to ' photograph it I made the effort to get there a couple of weeks ago to find I was too late. Lesson learnt. Gather up the fragments that are left that nothing be lost say the Old Cornwall Society. I'll be collecting what I can now before it is too late. Watch out there are plenty more to come.
There is a fetish of clean and tidy, 'making improvements' and it usually means the feckless destruction of something of worth.
Basically on the score of heritage, trust nothing to fate, owners or bureaucrats.
