My understanding from Cornwall Council is that Shakes on the Terrace does not have planning permission for change of use. Therefore your prediction is probably going to be true.
My understanding is the rent was not being paid to the brewery for several months and they were made to leave. The 'landlord' is supposed to be placing his son in there soon to re-open the business. Said landlord is also moving into the Bath Inn and replacing the present incumbents at the end of the month.
