Lower Market Jew Street 1975

This wonderful picture was taken and supplied by John Gendall. Look, there's Parkers on the left and the Railway Inn (Longboat) on the right. I like the beautiful AA and RAC signs on the wall.
I was only telling one of my learners about Parkers today! Santa's grotto at christmas was the best!
 
Parkers was a magical place to a child! I remember the toy section at the top (where the spiral staircase is) and the only lift in town. Not to mention the parallel mirrors where you could see multiple yous stretching off into the distance. Happy days...
