Location of old pic penzance from Newlyn

Precisely the location that I was already considering, as I had worked out the picture had been taken from the row of cottages above the keel alley that was here before. I am glad that you have resolved this, that all makes sense and is a valuable contribution to the history of Newlyn.

Guess the rest of the wall is being bellow ground level , as its been filled in, although does continue round the front, remember as a kid the garden area still being flooded at high tide with small boats tied up. Any idea of a date Treeve?

I have placed two pictures of keel alley on site. It would be best to get a picture as now, from that row of cottages (sorry, cannot remember the name), just above where Ripple was re-built.

The Ripple was re-built in Clippers Yard wasn't it?

I remember playing in that bit when the tide was out. Always a shame when they filled it in
