Levant Mine and Beam Engine

'Trust' Jan to get in on the act! This visit of ours to this site, cared for by the National Trust, was on 6th July, 2007. The Whim (Winding) House behind her still steams regularly, particularly during July, August and September, thanks to the Trevithick Society of volunteer engineers who restored the beam engine. The Pumping House is on the right.
It's the whim (winding) engine which is still steamed, in fact; the pumping engine house is the larger of the two, to the right.
