It never ceases to amaze me and provide wonderment ...
This powerful and large bird, knows how to look beautiful, how to raise its wings in such a way to form an aerofoil to offer air capture to ease 'leg work' and generally to form a full and rounded shape with volume ... and to finish off the image, it knows the long and sinuous neck adds grace. The bird is massive and lumbering, yet on the water glides like a paper boat, yet so steady. This has NOTHING to do with survival of the fittest, unless perhaps it is a matter of survival of the most graceful and attractive?
