Digitalis Purpurea - Foxglove

This snap was taken at Portheras Cove near Pendeen Watch in June, 2006. When we see these, we know that summer is just getting into its stride. Of course, these have provided us with a heart drug which has also been used as a poison. Funny! I used to lick the sweet end of the 'thimble' when I was young. Hope I wasn't unknowingly poisoning myself! I know bumble bees love to seek the pollen deep inside.
