I remember being fascinated by the contractors who came to lay the water main through Carnyorth in or about 1960. The was a bulldozer, WOW, and several diggers and lorries. It seemed to me as though they were on the moor for ages although I suspect it was in reality only a few weeks. I have found no photographs of that work, unfortunately, it was before my father took up photography seriously
