Abbey Slip 2006

If anyone remembers the old fruit and veg yard that was on the left hand side of the above picture of Abbey Slip, that was turned into flats, well I worked on the electrics in that yard, years ago, and again when the flats were built, I remember telling the builders boss man there, thta he should have built the ground floor flats higher up off the level that they are, he said why, I said because they are quite likely to get flooded out, as the water has been known to flood the slipway, he said no way does the water ever come up that high, I said really?? Wonder if he or the Architect have seen this photo, and I ve seen the water higher.
