This lovely picture taken by John Gendall shows the erection of what was going to be ETS Electrical (who have since gone). Timothy Whites stood on this plot and was demolished. But Timothy Whites extended a good 50 feet more in to the Market Place and stopped at the roads edge. The building next to the building site was a shoe shop when I was younger. You can see a walk way through the shop where they placed wire baskets full of shoes. This walkway is now closed up. It happened suddenly when Bet Fred took over the shop.
