Penberth Cove Good Friday 1952

Why go to Penberth and not Lamorna I wonder?

Speaking of which, a couple of years ago I was staying in a friends house in Paul at Easter. Good Friday I expected the roads to be thronged with the youth of the district, not a soul to be seen. We were to lazy to walk so we drove to Lamorna. Not only did we not see a soul walking the road but at lunchtime on Good Friday the wink was closed!
The cove car park was almost empty. We had a wander around and reflected on changing times.
Do have a look at the pictures in my User Album showing the rock group Ricky and the Layabouts from the 60s when the band somewhat sacrilegiously played on the end of the pier at Lamorna on Good Friday!

Saw those;great atmospheric pictures. Also noticed Diane commented on them a day or two ago; I remember her singing at St Just Dances back in the 19  0s.

Hey Tpp we had some good times then, the youth of today will never know what we had!!!!
