I recall car sales on this site, behind the Sportsman's. I think I also recall vehicle repairs and possibly even a filling station. Did I imagine some of this ? Anyway here are further former commercial premises converted to dwellings.
There was indeed a garage and filling station on this site; I even remember it being of the old-fashioned variety, where an attendant fuelled the customer s car. One of my brothers married the proprietor s daughter back in the mists of time that was the 1970s.
