For the third month in a row the figure of people out of work and claiming benefit has gone down across Cornwall View attachment 70
For the third consecutive month, the number of people out of work and claiming benefit in Cornwall has dropped.
According to the Office of National Statistics, 8,103 people claimed Jobseeker's Allowance in May.
Unemployment rose by 23 thousand, to two-point-47 million, in the three months between February and April.
The number of people claiming jobseekers' allowance last month fell, by thirty thousand 900, to one-point-48 million.
In the year to April, average pay rose by four-point-two percent.
That's nought-point-one percent down from the previous month.
