I'll see if we have a recipe here somewhere - it might have been just something Nancy's mum made for her when she lived in Canada. ::15:

ps, I hope there is time; it should be made two months before coating, allowing the ingredients to properly 'marinade' into the mix, wrapped in two layers of parchment paper, wrapped in close pressed foil.

I think it is obvious viewing the girth above my waist that both missp and myself know a little about this subject. We both qualified out of Cornwall College some time ago now and both continue to use our skills as part of our professions. While specialising in sweet and pastry I have developed a fondness for Mediteranean style cookery which revolves around the four principle ingredients of olive oil, oregano, garlic and tomato. There is usually the added bonus of onions, basil and lemon too. The flavours of fresh ingredients bought locally is truly amazing (in Greek, Cypriot, Italian markets from experience). The vegetable taste as they should, and until sampled I like HH had forgotten what a tomato should really taste like along with a variety of other root and salad vegetables.

Being perfectly honest missp makes the best pastry ever. Second to none.

I think in that case, missp should bring some along to the meeting where we can all pass our opinion on that. He he.

I think I can count myself very lucky that I can cook. Thats down to my mum and without being bias, she is a great cook. I loved watching her make stuff in the kitchen. When a cousin of mine got married, my mum did the wedding cake and the photographer (who had been doing weddings for 30 years) said he'd never seen a better one...big compliment. Anyway, i love cooking.....pain in the ass washing up after though...! lol
