This, I reckon, is looking down Trewithen Road from Alverton Road (where the Cable and Wireless building is that was posted up earlier); ahead of you is the lower entrance of Penlee.
I keep having a reoccurring dream of the sea engulfing Trewithen road. I also have the same dream about Adelaide Street. The wave thunder up the hill faster than you can shake a stick at. Later the entire town centre is completely under water.
I suppose that could be a reason why I moved to Heamoor.
You must have had a previous life here ... that is where the original cliffs of the bay were, from here down is an ancient beach (or geologically, a raised beach) under the ground; roughly where Hawkins Road cuts across, was a cliff.
What with changing sea levels and isostasis rebound, the shore line has changed a lot; I have found more information on sea levels and storms that relate to the sea front of the Bay, just tonight.
