I agree, but I d like to see people try it nowadays, I can rember standing on a ladder at the bottom of Queen Street drilling granite for three holes for a street light using the same technology, a hammer and jumper, it took forever. Ahh the days before power tools!!!
Not the one I put up, it has been replaced but I still think of it when I go past. As an apprentice we had to do all the bashing and my hand has still got the lumps! laugh#
the roof of the old swimming baths ar wherrytown was tied down with steel rods into three courses of the sea wall, probably 6 feet a lot of hit and twist in those days
