Newlyn South Pier 4th February 2009; The wind strengthening from the South East, bitterly cold and raining; but thankfully the tide was on the ebb. The Bay was not a good place to be on this day. A razorbill was snatched from the sky by the furious winds and hit the beach, it struggled for four seconds and died. A pitiful sight to see one of nature's finest become a lifeless clump of feathers.
