Headmaster Mr. T.C. Rising watches as Chairman of the Governors Mr. L. G. White unveils a portrait of Humphry Davy. The print, a copy of the original portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence, was presented to the school by Mr. White. The original painting hangs in the library of the Royal Society in London.
