Jenny Lind Court Newlyn

Post dated 1904
I've often wondered what used to trickle down the middle of these little streets! This is not a scene I've seen before, CW! Interesting genre pic for the turn of the 20th Century in Newlyn.

Always wondered, is this court still here, or was it demolished (maybe in the 30s)?

Cottage floors, stone flags, posh ones has slate slabs; rush mats, lifted, or maybe straw if a poor family, the houses were swept out to the front door and a bucket of water thrown out after, swept into the centre gutter.

I've been meaning to reply to this - thought I had - going loopy. This is Fradgan Place; number 8 on the right has the distinctive entrance, the gate at the end leads to Predannack. WhenI first investigated, I found that number 8 was a holiday let, with its own website, and photos of the interior, but I can't find it now. Anyway, you can have a good look at these houses on Google Maps, and see how much has changed.
