Harry Worsley

George Henry Worsley
Penzance born, from a long line of Worsleys in Madron. He held many an office in Mount Street Primitive Methodist Chapel, was in the choir; they lived at 41 Leskinnick Terrace, Penzance. He had a very successful Plumbing business, having started as a journeyman. His father was a well to do Ostler, he acquired a liking for a fine cigar. He had an overcoat with a fur collar, but wore a bowler hat at a rakish angle.

Isaac Worsley born 1851, lived at Kitt's Court Penzance, married Mary Harriet Brewer in 1871;
son George Henry Worsley married Sarah Dale December 1898 ; lived at 41 Leskinnick Terrace, Penzance.
Their daughter Elsie May Worsley (born 20th October 1899) married Thomas Tolfree Parr (born 14th October 1905), at the Primitive Methodist Chapel 26th March 1930. Elsie May died 28th January 1975. Tolfree Parr later married my widowed second cousin Lilian Bastian nee Eddy (Pops Eddy's daughter).

The Parr family came from Staffordshire in 1903. Thomas Frederick Parr (Master Boot and Shoe repairer) married Sep 1904 to Mary Jane Corin of 6 Chycornick Terrace, Gulval.
That is a fine, waxed moustache Sir! I may well consider that myself - along with adding silver beads to my goatee ....

By the way, Tolfree Parr at the time of first marriage was a Draper's manager, living at the shop, 32 The Terrace (now Jessop's). I have yet to sort out his history, but it seems he was in the Royal Navy, an officer, he was a chorister and a gentleman.
