This was the problem. The SD card corner snapped off and ended up inside the camera. This meant that when you inserted the card it wouldn't lock in.
A new camera like this is about £90... so out with the tools and off we go again
I keep a Lumix in the car a very nice little camera and produces very good results in
fact I have had many pictures used by local Tv stations...as news items.
Yes I have to agree it is a very good camera. Well worth fixing. I was a little shocked to see Ebay littered with cameras... it seems that we live in a chuck away society these days.
yes it is a lovely camera and I have missed it! probably would of gone for the same model/type if this couldnt be fixed as this does produce some cracking pics!
