I am working through the references to trees along this shore. Not all of them relate to a sudden inundation. These trees here relate to a gradual breakdown of seashore and a small forest. They were not at that great a growth, unlike those at Ponsandane. These were perhaps 70 years old at uprooting. Those at Ponsandane well over a hundred years. There is no evidence of a sudden event in The Bay of a geological rift or sinking. Whatever has happened is a combination of external shock or gradual erosion. The shock will be evidenced in other parts of British coasts and in records.
