I think I wrote somewhere on the site that I saw a bloke climbing up the rope ladder with a Cornish flag to take it right to the top of the front mast , holding on with one hand only. It gave me vertigo just watching him. I had to turn away before he fell!
@tpp - there were a couple of men right up in the rigging when I took these shots. It's one thing to do that while in port - but you can imagine what that would be like in a rolling sea!
