Drift

Who remembers the farms etc. that were sacrificed? Must find a way of getting stills from some footage taken in the drought of the 1980's, my children and others slopping around in the mud and remains of the buildings. Still, it's a lovely place to sit and chill out.
If you can get your footage transferred to video .. one simple way is to set up the projector, and to copy the footage on to a digital camera direct from the projection screen. You will need to set it all up so as not to get glass glare from the screen. Other than that, it can be transferred by a photo-lab at some expense. I have vague memories of the valley as it was, and of the dam being built.

I also have memories of it have those memories as well. Also when I started serving my time with S.W.E.B. in 1960 we used to maintain the oil filled contactors etc. for the pumps. Ref. the footage I took it on video, and have since put all my videos on to cd, I am going to run them thro the computer and if necessary get another program and try to take off some stills.

Oh heck, don t now her married name but will find out, her mum Olive Angwin years ago was a nurse and later a matron, if that helps. Gillian was also a nurse for many years. Too late to text her now but will find out tomorrow if I can.
