very nice sequence ... can you by any chance read the name of the other ship?

ps. I have no references for the 'Pauline S' of Bridgetown (Barbados), any other clues, maybe I (you) could try on Ships Nostalgia

I've tried scanning at maximum resolution (2Gb image from 35mm transparency) but resolution of original is not adequate to discern name of other vessel I fear. I'll try to research further when I have more time.

Not to worry about t'other one. But, if you have no objection, I could post a picture up in the 'Mystery ship' gallery on SN for you, she may be known by some of the sugar crew of the time?

Regret to say that, yes, it is Georgetown. Sorry, stupid error. That's what comes of posting when I should be sleeping.

Thank you ... we have a tentative Tuskar Rock for the unidentified cargo vessel quayed behind. The name shows on two of your pictures. Unsure yet.

1985: Esvagt Bravo rescue 8 men from the coaster Pauline S as she is fighting severe weather with 12 metre waves; ship suffered damage to hatches and bridge windows broken.

Thanks for the notes Treeve. Interesting the date for the name, these slides are in consecutively numbered mounts dated 06/85 so newly named Pauline-S.

Oh dear 1985, another mistake. I'm getting careless, sorry everyone.
