A popular name for the Iron Age Hill Fort that crowned the top of Lescudjack Hill. The only piece of land left undeveloped is the field at the top of Castle Road. Up until a couple of years ago the whole area (hill fort) was owned by Gerald Hosking builders. Lescudjack School (1915-1980) took it s name from this fort.
Thanks denamor, I ll look it up, being a St Juster I don t know a lot about the history of Penzance, although I spent many happy hours there, after all that s where the action was when we were young
