Nanjizel - Its cave
I like the way the sea has deposited the seaweed in a series.
So many awesome places in Cornwall, most of them in Penwith or on The Lizard. This is one of the very best. I believe the natural arch opposite is called Song of the Sea.

as usual, treeve is quite right - this is Zawn Pyg - known to the locals as The Song of The Sea. Fantastic pic!

Thanks for the compliment on this pic taken at Nanjizel, blondesurfguy! It s between Porthgwarra and Land s End. Sometimes the cove has no sand but it s well endowed at the moment. I m interested by agendall s comment that it s called Zawn Pyg which I can understand as Zawn (Sawn = cleft/gulley) of Tar (pyg = pitch/tar) which, however, may be more applicable today than in the Cornish-speaking days of wind powered ships! Song of the Sea certainly is appropriate here!
