I grew up with the Scillies on the horizon. They seldom ventured this far inshore though. There was an unusual quality to the light that day.
This picture was taken from Brea Vean, (near Land's End airfield), the other from Wheal Bal Hill. I did add notes to all of the pictures I loaded last evening but I can't see them; don't know if anyone else can?
I was out Lands End way on the Sunday before Christmas and noticed how clear and close they looked then. good to see this shot.
(And no, can't see any notes.)
Ah, now I am at work, and using IE6, I see Scilly from Brea Vean Farm lane below the picture.That was absent on my Firefox 3.n window at home. Not sure if browser or my security is to blame.
And yes, the Isles were strikingly clear last week. I took several pictures from various viewpoints and was noly sorry I hadn't time to explore further. Beyond Kelynack wasn't the most direct route from Vivian Olds' shop to Gulval as it was.
