To deal kindly with the massive cat family, the charity Greek Cat Welfare Society has been in operation since 1992. They are not all in good homes, or are relaxed happy animals. Cats uncared and left to the weathers last just a year - the lucky ones. Monasteries feed the cats. There are some evil people who do not favour cats and poison them. The work the charity does is immense and rewarding. Feral cats are captured, neutered and released; with feeding for the cats.
