Priest's Cove
Another of those voundervour moments...
originally St Just's Cove, which is Porth Just, which is pronounced Por'east, which sounds like 'priest' and so we now add cove to a place that was named a cove. :) With thanks to Peter Pool for clarifying that.
 
Thanks for letting us all know, me included, Treeve! I hadn't even considered the Cornish origin of the name! I shall remember that!
 
Round the back of St Just Church, by the top of the footpath that goes down to Tregeseal turnpike road.
 
Really! I thought i'd explored that area fairly well but I don't recall a well. Ah! having looked at the Council online map, I see you mean Venton East Square; I was thinking you ment 'Pilgrim Mews'. I must take a look there next time. Does the well still issue water?
